Outside work
-

I assemble forms at the top of the hole for the septic tank to pour a level surface for the blocks
-

With the blocks laid, a dividing wall is built inside, the inside is browned and we prepare to pour the top
-

The foundation for the deck is laid and Frederick comes to lay more blocks. (he is quicker than me!)
-

I have trouble keeping up with the morter mixes

but soon we are ready to pour the columns
-
Another mason, Serge, comes to finish off the browning and the top. The septic top makes a good work platform
-
and the cistern makes a lovely deck...but I have to start browning the kitchen
-
I need a nice sloppy mix and slap it on
-
and smooth off with a rubber trowel
-
A sign for the entrance now the deck, cistern and septic are done. We are ready for the party!
-
Actually the deck still needs concreting, but that will have to wait, and we quite like the "beach".

Kinetic art? No, it is an anemometer.
