The roof for Skipper's Cottage
-

Early Saturday morning the roofers (from Freeport) work their magic.
-

Most of the work is done and I get finishing off instruction while the crew has breakfast. Wow, thanks guys!
-

The NW gable end is done, now for the other end.
-

between the rains and the gales, we finally start putting the roof on. The planks are laid out to dry.

The roof is practically covered, and I can take a rest.
-

Notice the design similarities between Skipper's cottage and the engine room?
-

The surface is fairly easy to walk on but I don't let go of the rope for long!

All the felt is now on the roof and it is watertight. Most of the shingles are on the front but because of high winds I decide to work on the opening for the sliding doors. Forms are attached and I am mixing the concrete.
