Concrete, steel and blocks

-

Building permit is granted (Thanks to Missy's plans) and the engine room gets a deck

-

A bit more clearing, the foundation is dug and the steel in place

-

I take a rest while the professionals move in

-

I need more help with the floor. Thanks Dwight!

-

Joseph mixes, Dwight pushes the buggy and I spread

-

At last the walls start going up, and they are nearly straight!

-

Hurricane Isabel threatens to blow them down again. The hole is for the septic.

-

I thought I was paying Joseph to do this? Missy is pleased with progress though

-

Now it is starting to look like a house!

-

Coming in the back door. Or is it the front door?

-

The forms for the belt course are all on. It looks like I am coming up in the world!

-

So....What do we do now Joseph? Oh, I see!

-

The belt course is poured. This is the kitchen and I am in the library.

From up here you can watch the sun set into the Caribbean.

-

Now it's time to celebrate. "And every bucket of concrete was lifted up on a rope!"
