The Governor's Harbour Sailing Club is a non profit organisation dedicated to promoting and facilitating the sport of sailing in Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera, Bahamas. The club is affiliated with the Bahamas Sailing Association in Nassau.

We currently have 4 "optis", 4 sunfish, 1 minifish, 1 Zuma, 1 Capri and a 12ft Carolina Skiff as safety boat. The club is very grateful to Lawrence Griffin, David Salter, Matt Hoopes and Mark Adams for the loan of their boats, and to Bob Colman for the loan of our club house on Gospel Chapel Road.

Racing takes place in the harbour every Saturday morning at 10.00 . The boats are launched and rigged on the beach in front of the library. The first race starts at 11.00. The course is usually set up in the Harbour so that the races can be clearly seen. The four Optis start first then the four sunfish. Points are awarded to the first three boats across the finish line in each group, then the crews are changed over for the next race. We keep a league table of the points.
Two of our sailors competed in the Sunfish Nationals in Nassau and we will be sending four Opti sailors to Nassau in September for the Bahamas Opti Nationals.
We offer certificates in Basic Sailing and Safety Boat Operation. New junior members, aged 8 to16, are welcome to attend for the Wednesday evening session at 4.00, but must complete an application form which must be signed by their parent/guardian, and must pass a swimming test. There is no charge for junior membership, but donations, such as supplying lunch after the Saturday races are greatly appreciated.
We offer sailing lessons and sail boat charter to individuals and groups at any time by appointment. Please contact the commodore mark@skipperscottage.com or the secretary missy@skipperscottage.com for further details or telephone 554 6950
The Club is always looking for donations and sponsorship.
